Teletubbies
Teletubbies is a BBC children’s television series aimed at pre school children aged 1 - 4, produced from 1997 - 2001 by Ragdoll Productions. It was created by Anne Wood, & Andrew Davenport and won the BAFTA award in 1998.
The TV programme features 4 colourful characters; yellow “Laa Laa”, red “Po”, purple “Tinky Winky” & green “Dipsy” who live in the Tubbytronic Superdome set in a landscape of hills. The set features rabbits, talking flowers, periscope trumpets and their companion “Noo Noo” a vacuum cleaner.
The Teletubbies are furry, different colours and have silver rectangular screens covering their abdomens, these TV screens are used to show a short film during each episode which is repeated at least once.
The Teletubbies speak in a gurgling baby like language and their catch phrases include “Eh-oh” “Run away Run away” “Bye-bye” and “Big hug”
The Teletubbies diet includes “Tubby Tustard” & “Tubby Toast” and they can messy eaters.
